| Almost all of the most serious environmental problems like global warming, overexploited natural resources, defrostation, wasted land, and water and air pollution are all being contributed by eating meat. In a United Nations report done in 2006 it stated that the meat industry was "on of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems,at every scale from local to global.". In fact eating only 1 lb. of meat emits the same amount of greenhouse gasses as driving an SUV 40 miles. |
